Enduring Excellence

Most people know that Jesus built a lasting ministry that's continued almost 2,000 years, but few know that his physical work was enduring as well. According to the writings of Justin Martyr, a saint beheaded in the second century, there were plows and yokes still being used in his lifetime that Jesus had made as a carpenter.
Imagine wooden tools used regularly lasting over 100 years. Jesus understood the importance of excellence.
King David in Psalm 145:4 praised God when he wrote, "One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts."
Although we may not measure up to Jesus' high standards, what if you considered each work project as something that needed to last 100 years. What would you do differently?
